A mainstay of the building trade is the ubiquitous cordless Drill Driver with hammer setting. A good cordless drill makes many jobs a lot faster and easier, buying the wrong drill or sticking with older, worn tools can inhibit efficient work and cost both time and money on a job site.
Choosing the correct drill is of paramount importance to smooth working on construction sites or within the workshop. 14.4 volt Hammer Drills give the operator a great degree of freedom and flexibility. Light weight tools reduce operator fatigue and can be carried easily on a tool belt or a in a job specific toolbox and so are always handy and the small size of most 14.4 volt Hammer Drills means that they can be used where space is limited and have the power to cope with a wide range of materials: Wood, Steel and, with the hammer setting on Masonry.
14.4 volt cordless drill drivers are hugely flexible but for power and toughness in intensive use, a cordless 18 volt hammer drill will return a greater length of useful life and also give a greater range of drilling capability and higher torque for effective driving making this voltage the most popular in the range.
Cordless Drill Drivers of all power voltages are available from Power Tools Pro as complete kits, including the Drill Driver, battery packs and fast charger. For a company wishing to extend a current inventory or buying a group of tools that use the same batteries and chargers, we offer a full range of body only Drill Drivers, making for a much more cost effective solution for businesses and keen hobbyists.

The industrial Mitre Saw was developed from the Radial Arm Saw, patented by Raymond DeWALT (the founder of DeWALT Power Tools) in 1925. The Radial Arm Saw simplified the jobs that formerly required use of a table saw and brought the flexibility of an industrial power tool like this to smaller workshops. The industrial Mitre Saw simplified the concept and made it faster to perform accurate crosscuts by minimising the setup time and also increasing accuracy of cut immensely over hand tools.
In the late 70’s development of the Mitre Saw several innovations that increased operator safety but also the flexibility of these saws power. Compound Mitre Saws allows the complicated angles required to be setup with ease and allows easy cutting with extreme accuracy. Further innovations in the 1980’s gave the industrial mitre saw a longer reach needed to largely supersede the original design Radial Arm Saw making it one of the most useful industrial power tools in the wood working trade.
Makita produce a number Compound Mitre Saws that feature innovations that directly enhance working efficiency and accuracy. Laser lines allow the most precise cuts and many Makita Mitre Saws feature laser measuring lines to increase the accuracy of partial cuts.
Draper Mitre Saws offer a great range of features that rival industrial power tools but at a budget that brings these excellent tools into the range of the DIY enthusiast and hobbyist as well as providing a highly cost effective solution to tradesmen. With laser guidance and preset indexes at common cut angles Draper Mitre Saws from Power tools Pro are great value for money.
Despite the popularity of Mitre Saws, Table Saws are still a feature of many workshops, though they have now become far more dedicated tools designed purely to rip board to plank and strip. Clearance at each end of the table is necessary to cut very long lengths of timber but they are by far and away the most efficient and safest tool for this kind of job. Table Saws are available through Power Tools Pro from major manufacturers like Bosch, DeWALT and Makita.

Power Tools Pro are an active Hitachi Power Tools supplier and have large stocks of Hitachi tools including two powerful compound mitre saws from the 305mm TCT blade range, the C12LC and C12FCH each use and incorporate a feature from the popular C12LCH mitre saw, if you use Hitachi tools you will be aware of the revolutionary Hitachi LCD display and accurate cutting laser marker.
Hitachi’s C12LC 305mm compound mitre saw includes a digital LCD display to easily see the mitre saw and bevel readings for operator precision and accuracy with all cuts. The LCD scale located on the front of the mitre saw, above the scale adjustment knob, allows operators to quickly and accurately set the bevel and mitre angles. A handy backlight button can be activated on the scale improving visibility if working in dimly lit conditions or where there is not enough natural light.
The C12FCH 305mm compound mitre saw has the Hitachi laser marker indicating where the blade will cut on the material and can be adjusted to the right or left depending on user preference. Both the C12LC and C12FCH use a 1520w motor to smoothly cut through most industrial jobs including hardwoods. A pivoting aluminum fence that stands at a height of 130mm allows crown molding to be cut vertically plus mitre angles range from 0-52 degrees, both left and right for a broader range of cuts. Mitre angles can be quickly adjusted using Hitachi’s thumb actuated positive stops and the soft grip covers on the horizontal handle reduce vibration and fatigue, while adding comfort and safety. The large base provides better support and balance to prevent material warping and the handy externally accessible carbon brush makes for quick and easy changes reducing down time of these Hitachi mitre saws.
C12LC and C12FCH mitre saws come with 305mm TCT saw blades, dust bag, vise assembly, box wrench and hex bar wrench, they are the ideal heavy duty 305mm compound mitre saws for trim carpenters, framers and woodworkers who demand and require both precision and reliability and both mitre saws are fully compatible with the Hitachi UU610CZ universal workstation

For many years DeWALT power tools offered the trade one of the most popular 305mm mitre saws with the market leading tough DW718 mitre saw, then the market dictated that some type of laser measurement had to be a basic requirement built-in to any industrial mitre saw. This gave DeWALT the excuse they needed to launch their DW718XPS cross cut positioning system-led mitre saw that not only illuminates its working area but cleverly the shadow of the blade shows exactly where the cut will take place.
The DeWALT XPS system is fitted as standard to the cutting head of the DW717XPS and DW718XPS mitre saws, providing users with a working area flooded with clean light and a very accurate cut line using the shadow of the mitre saw cutting blade. Tradesmen are often faced with work in areas devoid of good light slowing the cutting process and making pre-cut measuring marks difficult to see and increasing the possibility of expensive errors, DeWALT engineered the XPS™ cross cut position system to enhance productivity, visibility of the work area and accuracy by creating an unobstructed view of the mitre cuts.
The DW718XPS mitre saw is designed with a crosscut positioning system that offers a blade shadow cut line indicator helping tradesmen to make repeat fast and accurate cuts in materials of various widths and depths. The work area light is fed by a separate power supply allowing operators to use the work light with or without the blade in operation. To increase durability and build quality of the DW718XPS mitre saw this DeWALT system is secured tightly to the DW718XPS and is not vulnerable to any saw vibration. The enclosed LED lamp ensures that the XPS™ work light is moisture resistant and weather tolerant helping it stand up to tough use on any jobsite or van environment. Once again DeWALT engineering keeps the DW718XPS mitre saw ahead of the competition as the XPS™ work light requires no adjustment, this DeWALT cutting line is taken directly from the shadow of the mitre saw blade.
