Ryobi Power Tools continue to power ahead in their sector of the crowded power tool market by promoting one of their leading developments of the last year or so the AutoShift system a world first at the time of launch. Ryobi engineers developed the world’s first cordless drill driver featuring automatic gear shift, meaning that these CDA1802M, CDA18021B & CDA18022B Drill Drivers automatically select the correct gear to suit the material and application, or as the Ryobi representative told us “it’s a no brainer”.
As a useful addition to the well known Ryobi One Plus range one of the world’s most flexible cordless power tool system, these 18v Autoshift 2-speed drill/drivers feature powerful motors and sturdy gearboxes producing up to 59Nm of torque with quick adjustment from 24 torque settings. Ryobi One Plus drill drivers give the operator greatly improved grip, reduced tool vibration and ‘GripZone™’ overmould. The CDA1802M, CDA18021B & CDA18022B drill drivers having the automatic gearshift with two gear ratios now makes them suitable for most materials and general trade applications and with the auto spindle lock it’s great for single hand quick bit changes.
Along with the Autoshift system Ryobi have also enhanced the One Plus range with lithium battery options, these options are fully compatible with all power tools in the Ryobi One Plus range and offer the operator superior working performance to standard 18v NiCD batteries, tradesman can now choose from the ultra powerful Ryobi BPL1820 18v x 2.4Ah Lithium-Ion battery or the Ryobi BPL1815 18v x 1.4Ah Lithium-Ion compact battery, at just 0.5kgs the compact battery option is 45% smaller and 40% lighter than the 18v x 2.4Ah BPL1820 lithium battery.
